Palaquium dasyphyllum is a tree in the Sapotaceae family. It grows up to 36 metres (120 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 65 centimetres (30 in). The bark is dark brown. Inflorescences bear up to 10 flowers. The fruits are round, up to 2.4 centimetres (1 in) in diameter. The specific epithet dasyphyllum is from the Greek meaning "thickly hairy leaves". Habitat is forests at higher than 950 metres (3,100 ft) altitude. P. dasyphyllum is found in Sumatra and Borneo.
