Pachelmsky District (Russian: Пачелмский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Penza Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,322 square kilometers (510 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Pachelma. Population: 16,310 (2010 Census); 18,995 (2002 Census); 22,263 (1989 Census). The population of the administrative center accounts for 49.4% of the district's total population.
