PDFTron Systems Incorporated is a Canadian software company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. The company specializes in robust developer tools for enterprise PDF software solutions. In 2009, New Ventures BC recognized PDFTron as one of their Top 30 new ventures. Notable clients include Brother Industries, Thomson Reuters and Konica Minolta.

Founded in 1998, PDFTron was among the first companies outside of Adobe Systems to offer PDF development tools. Their core product, PDFNet SDK, has gone through many iterations since its introduction in 2002 and now includes functionality with the latest technologies. They were early adopters of Microsoft Silverlight and XPS technologies, launching the PDF2XPS product within a year of the format standardization. Advancing into the mobile arena PDFNet now has capabilities in Windows Mobile, iOS, Android and HTML5. The HTML5 feature of their new WebViewer enables platform neutral document viewing and web annotation.

PDFTron is active in the community being a member in good standing of: the PDF Association, the British Columbia Technology Industry Association (BCTIA), the Association for Information and Image Management AIIM as well as having direct involvement with the International Organization for Standardization PDF committee and industrial partnerships with Simon Fraser University. Strict adherence to document standards resulted in the inclusion of their PDF/A Manager product in the AIIM PDF/A product guide, as well as international recognition.
