P2P-Link is a standardized communications protocol for transferring data in and out of a Computer Numeric Control (CNC) control. A single digital input and a single output on the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) are accessed by the CNC program to send and receive a calibrated pulse train which defines the data. CNC macros which read from and write to the digital I/Os are all that is required to transfer value data in to and out of the CNC into a second compatible device.
