Owen Campbell Bolwell is a Melbourne musician, best known for being a member of the alternative rock band Tlot Tlot.

History

He studied Fine Art at Monash University between 1986 and 1989. It was in 1986 that his music career began. He formed a post-punk band called Man in the Wood with Stanley Paulzen and Andrew Briant. Bolwell was the leader, singing and playing bass. They released a single called "Rain" in 1989 and an EP called Thumper in 1990. In 1991, Briant left and the band were renamed Tlot Tlot. They continued on until 1996, receiving minor radio success with their single "The Girlfriend Song" in 1995.

In 1994, Bolwell and Paulzen met the singer Merril Bainbridge through the producer George Siew Ooi, who also produced "The Girlfriend Song". Bolwell produced Bainbridge's album The Garden with Siew, releasing it in 1995 to worldwide success. In 1998, he released Bainbridge's second album Between the Days, which he co-wrote.

Sometime between 1999 and 2000, he married Bainbridge. They had a son c. 2002-2003 and another child sometime during Bainbridge's hiatus.

In 2003, Bainbridge and Bolwell released a single called "Girl Next Door", but it was during the time that both the free music downloading crisis started to bite and the merger between Sony & BMG resulting in a shift of senior executives. Bainbridge sold the Production company and retired not long after.

Bolwell studied Marketing and gained a master's degree in 2010.
