Orlovsky District, Kirov Oblast

Orlovsky District (Russian: Орло́вский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,989 square kilometers (768 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Orlov. Population: 12,934 (2010 Census); 16,190 (2002 Census); 19,557 (1989 Census). The population of Orlov accounts for 53.8% of the district's total population.

Until 1992, the district was called Khalturinsky (Халтуринский).
