History

Michael and Susan Parker opened Opal Divine's at its original location (Freehouse) in 2000. Michael Parker previously worked at Austin's Dog and Duck Pub prior to founding the company. Since its inception, the restaurant has opened three additional locations and has plans for a forth in the summer of 2014.

Opal Divine's serves American food that is a combination of Bar food and Tex-Mex cuisine. The restaurant is environmentally conscious and serves hormone free beef and chicken as well as making use of sustainable fish.

Locations

Opal Divine's Penn Field location was opened in 2005 on South Congress Avenue.

Opal Divine's Marina location was opened in December 2006 at the intersection of Parmer Lane and Mopac.

The Davenport location was opened in west Austin in west Austin in August 2012. It's located at the intersection of Westlake Drive and Loop 360.

The Freehouse location was Opal Divine's original restaurant was founded in March 2000 by Michael and Sarah Parker. The original location was 3,000 square feet and was located in Austin's renowned Sixth Street district. Due to size limitations, the location was closed in May 2013.
