Online shopping malls are websites that enable a multi-vendor checkout system enabling retailers to sell in one portal and allow the consumer to check out with one single credit card transaction.

Collections of many traders with different offers directly on the same website are also sometimes known as online shopping malls or virtual shopping malls.

Notable online shopping malls include eCRATER, Shopping.com, Shopzilla, PriceGrabber, Readers.in and Pikaba.com. An early business-to-business online shopping mall that launched in June 7, 1999 was OrderZone.com, created by W. W. Grainger (NYSE:GWW). The site featured products from Lab Safety Supply, Grainger Industrial Supply, Corporate Express, Cintas, VWR Scientific Products, Avnet Electronics, Fastenal and Motion Industries. OrderZone.com was sold to Works.com on June 12, 2000, and was later folded into that site.
