Onimwandi village is situated in the Oshana Region, Oshakati west constituency, Namibia, 5 km away from Oshakati on the left hand side of the main road on the way to Okahao. The headman of the Oniimwandi village is Mr Erastus Amupolo and his assistant is Mr Juuda Amupolo. Oniimwandi village's people are very friendly, peaceful and they help each other when they are suffering, for example, in case of drought if one didn't get enough of what he/she has planted and their food get finished, the neighbor will help them.

The village is well known in the Northern part of the country because a Namibian politician Dr Abraham Iyambo who was the Minister for Fisheries and Marine Resources and now the minister of Education was born there on 2 February 1961.

In this village, there is also an ELCIN church named after the village Oniimwandi ELCIN church where the Polytechnic of Namibia's SCM students hosted their SCM conference this year from the 22-24 of June. In addition the Oniimwandi primary school that was visited by the prime minister Nahas Angula in 2006 after the learners went for a tour to the parliament is also in this village, just next to the church.
