The Onassis Scholars' Association is a learned society established in 1986. It is open to graduates who have received a scholarship from the Onassis Foundation. The Association has more than 1,800 members, both Greek and non-Greek.

Activities

The Association organizes various academic conferences, artistic performances, multicultural events, scientific lectures and educational programmes.

In 2014, the Onassis Scholars' Association together with the Onassis Cultural Centre-Athens non profit organization, proposed the implementation of the digitization of the Hellenic Library of the Onassis Foundation. The project was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2015.

The Onassis Scholars' Association organized nine actions in various fields during the 2014-2015 academic year, offering educational and cultural programmes in schools in Greece, musical performances, an authentic Marathon road race in Athens, a music festival, Athens Science Festival, and Entrepreneurship Day.

The Association publishes ΑΩ, a quarterly newsletter in Greek. The English version is entitled ΑΩ International. Both versions available online.
