Olja Dilas (Serbian Cyrillic: Оља Ђилас, born April 26, 1985) is an American Political Analyst and Digital Communications Consultant. She was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (then part of Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia). Her father Kojo Dilas was a professor and her mother Melanija (née Dragutinovic) was a doctor. As a civil war survivor and a child refugee she became interested in social studies at an early age. She attended J.J. Zmaj Gymnasium college preparatory school, before enrolling at University of Novi Sad Faculty of Philosophy. She graduated in a record two and a half years with a B.A. in South Slavic Literatures and Languages. She later obtained an M.A. in Political Philosophy from Central European University as well as an M.P.S. from The George Washington University. She is most known for her publications on crisis communications, post-conflict resolution and conflict prevention. Her most recent work is focused on digital communications and their role in conflict prevention and conflict management in the low conflict areas.
