Olav Rocks (54°3′S 37°7′W) is a small group of rocks lying 0.6 nautical miles (1.1 km) east-southeast of Cape Crewe off the north coast of South Georgia. Charted by DI personnel during the period 1927-30, and so named because the rocks serve as a guide to vessels entering Prince Olav Harbor. The incorrect spelling, "Prince Olaf Rocks," appearing on the charts by DI personnel has been corrected. A shortened form of the original name is approved.
