The Office of the Inspector General of the Government of Puerto Rico serves as the inspector general for the government of Puerto Rico. It was created by law during the administration of Governor Luis Fortuño to provide an additional level of accountability in the use of Puerto Rico's public funds. The Office lies within the Office of the Governor.

The institution became operational in January 2011 upon the recess appointment of outgoing Treasury Secretary Juan Carlos Puig as Puerto Rico's first Inspector General. However, in these days, Juan Carlos Puig retired from Office and Pedro A. Gonzalez has taken his place as the Inspector General of Puerto Rico. The office is temporarily housed in the Office of Management and Budget of Puerto Rico building in Old San Juan.
