The Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Authority is a joint powers agency established by the City of Oakland and the County of Alameda to finance improvements to the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum Complex, and to manage the Coliseum Complex on behalf of the City and the County. It is governed by a Board Commissioners that meets monthly.
The Coliseum Authority contracts with AEG Facilities to operate the Coliseum Complex, located in the East Bay, in Oakland and Alameda County, California|Alameda County, California. The Coliseum Complex, a 120 acres (49 ha) sports and entertainment complex, includes the O.co Coliseum (Oakland Coliseum) and Oracle Arena (Oakland Coliseum Arena).
The original Oakland Alameda County Coliseum Complex opened in 1966.
The agency's operations are headed by a chairman (e.g. Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty) and an executive director (e.g. Ann Haley).
