OBS Gyeongin TV is a South Korean regional television station covering Gyeonggi Province, Incheon and, since 2011, Seoul. It is the only private terrestrial commercial television broadcaster with no regional network affiliate unlike other terrestrial networks. The channel is on LCN 8-1 and the call sign is HLQS-DTV.

History

  • February 21, 2006 : Gyeongin local terrestrial broadcasting licenses were awarded as part of a recommended basic plan&publicity.
  • February 22, 2006 : Young-Ahn Hats, Inc. established OBS Corporation.
  • February 24, 2006 : Gyeongin area recommended an application for a terrestrial authorization notice.
  • March 27, 2006 : Deadline of the Gyeongin terrestrial license.
  • April 28, 2006 : Establishment of the Gyeongin terrestrial license.
  • May 2, 2006 : Gyeongin TV was launched in Incheon.
  • July 22, 2006 : Amendment of Incheon Media law passed the national assembly.
  • August 29, 2006 : Inaugural Meeting.
  • August 30, 2006 : OBS was established.
  • November 8, 2006 : Kim Sung Jae, president inauguration of OBS Corporation.
  • April 5, 2007 : OBS Gyeongin TV recommended decision clearance.

  • December 7, 2007 : OBS Gyeongin TV station gets a certificate of inspection.
  • December 28, 2007 : OBS Gyeongin TV's first broadcast is the Election 2007.
  • December 30, 2007 : OBS starts broadcasting.
  • May 2010 : OBS starts broadcasting through SkyLife.
  • November 19, 2013 : A contract with iTVFM (Kyung-In Broadcasting, which owned a television station prior to 2004) was signed.
