Abbreviated title (ISO 4) Nurs. Science Q. Edited by Rosemarie Rizzo Parse Publication history 1988-present | Language English Publisher Sage Publications Frequency Quarterly | |
Nursing Science Quarterly is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers in the field of nursing. The editor-in-chief is Rosemarie Rizzo Parse (Loyola University Chicago). The journal was established in 1988 and is published by Sage Publications. The editorial board are all supporters of the human-becoming theories of Rizzo-Parse. Hence, the content reflect those of a specific-interest journal, rather than a more objective scientific publication.
The notion that these theories are scientific has also proved controversial, and the scientific community generally and many nursing academics would dispute them as representative of "science"as they reflect mysticism in their philosophical basis rather than empirical work.
