Nuance PDF Reader

Nuance PDF Reader, developed by Nuance Communications, Inc., is free software designed to view, manipulate and manage files in Portable Document Format (PDF). It includes built-in connectivity to a hosted Web service that enables users to convert PDF files to Word, Excel, RTF or WordPerfect using OCR technology. It also includes PDF form filler capabilities (saving filled forms and partial support for XFA forms) and gives users the option to prevent JavaScript installation for security purposes. As of 2016 PDF Reader was no longer available from Nuance; those accessing the PDF Reader Web site were offered a 30-day free trial of Nuance Power PDF Advanced instead.
