Nu Fornacis (ν For) is a class B9.5III (blue giant) star in the constellation Fornax. Its apparent magnitude is 4.69 and it is approximately 371 light years away based on parallax. It is around 3.65 times as massive and 245 times as luminous as the Sun, with around 3.2 times its diameter. It is variable, with a period of 1.89 days—the same as its rotational period. It is an Alpha2 Canum Venaticorum variable.
