The northern chestnut-tailed antbird (Myrmeciza castanea) is a species of bird in the family Thamnophilidae. The Clements taxonomy, Version 2016, however, calls it Zimmer's antbird and has updated the scientific name to Sciaphylax castanea. It is found in the Amazon Rainforest in northeastern Peru and far eastern Ecuador.

Its "Clements" name commemorates American ornithologist John Todd Zimmer.
