Norman Frank Dixon, M.B.E. (1922–2013) was a British psychologist most noted for his 1976 book On the Psychology of Military Incompetence. During the WWII, Dixon achieved the rank of Lieutenant under the regiment of the Corps of Royal Engineers (North West Europe, 1944–45), for which he was awarded an M.B.E.
