Nkanu West is a Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Agbani. Other major towns are Akegbe Ugwu, Akpugo, Ozalla, Obe, Umueze, Amodu, Obuoffia, Amurri etc. Nkanu west is one of the largest local government in Enugu state.
