Nipigon is an impact crater on Mars, located in the Arcadia quadrangle just North-East of the volcano Uranius Patera. The crater is 9.3 kilometers (5.8 mi) in diameter. The crater was named in 1991 after the Canadian town of Nipigon, Ontario. It is also worthy to note that the location of Nipigon crater (33.7ºN 81.9ºW) in Latitude and Longitude on Mars is close to that of Nipigon, Ontario (49°00′N 88°25′W) on Earth.
