Nimal Korale is Currently the Founder of NIK Foundation Which aims to help the less fortunate in Kataragama. In 2011 The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka at that time D. M. Jayaratne and the former Uva Province Chief Minister Shasheendra Rajapaksa along with the Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake was present to help with this cause.
