Nigeria–Uruguay relations

Nigeria–Uruguay relations are the relations between Nigeria and Uruguay. Nigeria has an embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the ambassador is accredited to Uruguay. Uruguay has an embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, the ambassador being concurrent to Nigeria and an honorary consulate in Lagos. In the near future, the Uruguayan ambassador to Angola will be in charge of Nigeria.

Trade between both countries is significant, with Uruguay buying petroleum and selling fish, cereals, dairy products and other commodities to Nigeria. There is a Uruguayan-African Chamber of Commerce, covering trade between Uruguay and different African countries.

Both countries are members of the Group of 77.
