The Niels Hansen Basketball Stadium is located in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The stadium is owned and administered by the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Basketball Association. From March through to August each year, it is the home of the Goldfields Giants, a men's basketball team that competes in the State Basketball League (SBL). The stadium's maximum capacity is 1,200 for SBL games. The stadium was built in 1979 with two indoor courts. It was the last basketball-only facility to be built in Western Australia. In 1996, a third indoor court was added to the stadium.

The stadium has played host to numerous National Basketball League (NBL) pre-season games over the years, including two games of the NBL's official pre-season tournament in 1996 featuring the Perth Wildcats, Adelaide 36ers, Hobart Devils and a touring Athletes in Action team. The stadium's highlight was the staging of an official NBL regular season game on the 23rd February 2004 between the Wildcats and the Hunter Pirates, which was won by Perth. The stadium has also hosted two official Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) regular season games featuring the Perth Lynx, the first being in 1990 when they were known as the Breakers, and the second being in February 2009.
