History

Neos was established in June 2001 as a joint venture between two tourism companies, the Italian Alpitour S.p.A. and the German TUI Group. Revenue flights were launched on 8 March 2002. In January 2004 however, TUI sold its entire shares to Alpitour. Until then, Neos was part of TUI Airlines. Since then, it is no longer affiliated with the TUI Group.

Destinations

Neos operates flights to destinations in Southern Europe, Russia, Africa, the Middle and Far East, the Caribbean, Mexico and Brazil.

Incidents

  • On 19 November 2012, Neos flight 731 (a Boeing 767-300ER) suffered severe turbulence during a flight from Holguin to Milan. 66 passengers sustained minor injuries.
