Career

Kljaić won two European Champions Cup's as a player with RK Zagreb in 1992 and 1993. He also won the EHF Challenge Cup in 2000 with TV Grosswallstadt.
Kljaić played for the national team of Croatia from 1991 to 2001. He was part of the Croatian team that won gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics. He played six games and scored five goals.

After retiring from competitions he worked with RK Croatia Osiguranje Zagreb, and since c. 2012 he is the head coach of the Saudi Arabia national team.
Personal life

He is the son of Velimir Kljaić and Jasenka Kljaić (nee Neralić). His ancestors are Tomislav Neralić, Franjo Neralić and Milan Neralić. He is married to Sandra Mejovšek-Kljaić. Together they have one son.
Kljaić speaks Croatian, English and German.
