Neehar Raina (born 1961) studied architecture at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi. His work was recognized with the Aga Khan Award for Architecture for his architectural layout of the 8 acre campus of the Barefoot College near Tilonia. His name had not been initially included in the award which had attributed the project to "an illiterate farmer", but after he wrote a letter of protest, the award was corrected and redesignated to read "A young architect, Neehar Raina, prepared the architectural layout and an illiterate farmer from Tilonia, along with 12 other Barefoot Architects, constructed the buildings."

Raina practices architecture from his design studio "Raina & Associates" in Mehrauli, New Delhi.
