The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is the US President's main adviser on telecommunications and information policy issues, and in this role frequently works with other Executive Branch and external agencies, including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to develop and present the Administration's position. The administration is sometimes referred to as the communications arm of the United States Department of Commerce.
