The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) was established in 1978 and is one of the largest providers of maritime services Globally. The company and its subsidiaries purchase, charter and operate vessels for the transportation of crude oil, chemicals, dry bulk and multi purpose cargo. Bahri owns and operates a fleet of double hull very large crude carriers (VLCCs), chemical carriers, dry bulkers and multipurpose Ro-Ro vessels. The company presently owns 36 VLCCs, including one VLCC designated as floating storage unit, 4 MRs and 1 Aframax, 26 chemical carriers, 5 product tankers, 5 dry-bulk tankers, 6 RoRo ships and additional 10 new-building VLCCs will join the fleet during 2017/2018. The company has also diversified into ship management, big data activities, freight forwarding and manages its own container service yard
