National Bandy Association was the first English governing body for the team winter sport of bandy, and actually the first bandy governing body anywhere in the world. The association was founded in 1891. The first general rules for bandy were written down by Englishman Charles Goodman Tebbutt in 1882. Bandy was a popular sport in England until the First World War, and the England national bandy team won the 1913 European Bandy Championships.

The England Bandy Federation was inaugurated on Monday 2nd January 2017. Chair is Robert (Bob) Johnson, Treasurer, Dorothy Johnson, General Secretary is Cathy Gibb-de Swarte and President is Lyn Gibb-de Swarte. They are affiliated to the Federation of International Bandy and are looking to promote both Rink Bandy around the country, and support the building of the Littleport Ice Stadium housing a 100 metre x 50metre bandy pitch. There is a social media Facebook page England Bandy Federation - EBF.
