The episodes from the fifteenth season of the anime series Naruto: Shippuden are based on Part II of the setting of Naruto manga series by Masashi Kishimoto. The season focuses on the second phase of the Fourth Great Ninja War involving the conflict between Naruto and the Ninja Alliance against Obito and Madara Uchiha, and Sasuke's meeting with the revived Itachi. The episodes are directed by Hayato Date and produced by Studio Pierrot and TV Tokyo.

The fifteenth season began airing on July 18, 2013 on TV Tokyo and ended on January 30, 2014. On January 2, 2009 Viz Media and Crunchyroll began providing subtitled Naruto: Shippuden. The season's collection in DVD began on March 5, 2014 under the title of The Fourth Great Ninja War - Sasuke and Itachi (忍界大戦・サスケとイタチ, Ninkai Taisen - Sasuke to Itachi).

This season contains five musical themes: two openings and three endings. The first opening theme, "Niwaka Ame ni mo Makezu" (ニワカ雨ニモ負ケズ) by NICO Touches the Walls, is used from episodes 321 to 332. The second opening theme, "Tsuki no Ōkisa" (月の大きさ, "The Size of the Moon") by Nogizaka46, is used from episode 333 to 348. The first ending theme, "Yume o Idaite ~Hajimari no Crissroads~" (夢を抱いて~はじまりのクリスロード~, "Embrace Your Dreams ~Crissroads of the Beginning~"), by Rake, is used from episodes 321 to 332. The second ending theme, "Black Night Town" (ブラックナイトタウン, Burakku Naito Taun) by Akihisa Kondō, is used from episodes 333 to 343. The third ending theme, "Niji" (, "Rainbow") by Shinkū Hollow, is used from episodes 344 to 348.
