The NSK Neustadt Prize for Children’s Literature is an American literary award given every odd-number year by World Literature Today. The main criterion is positive impact of a writer's work on the quality of children's literature and living writers alone are eligible. The winner gets a check for $25,000, a silver medallion, and a certificate, in a public ceremony at the University of Oklahoma. The prize is funded by Nancy Barcelo, Susan Neustadt Schwartz, and Kathy Neustadt, the three daughters of Walter Jr. and Dolores Neustadt.
