The NKU Book Connection is a program in Northern Kentucky University's academic plan for incoming freshmen. Introduced in 2000, it offers a common subject for students to discuss in their first year classes. The books chosen for inclusion in the program are by various writers from greatly differing backgrounds. Each touches on a different issue, such as race, class, identity, or gender.
