This is a list of NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament bids by school, at the conclusion of the 2017 conference tournaments. Schools whose names are italicized are not currently in Division I and cannot be included in the tournament. There are a total of 68 bids possible (32 automatic qualifiers, 36 at-large).
Note: some schools have NCAA tournament appearances under previous names. For example, UTEP was known as Texas Western when it won its NCAA title in 1966.
Vacated appearances are not included in the totals.
The table is updated through the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. Teams active in the 2017 tournament are shown in bold.
