The following data is current as of the end of the 2015 season, which ended after the NCAA Division I Football Championship Game on January 9, 2016. The following reflects the records according to the NCAA. This list took into account victories vacated, due to NCAA action. This includes teams transitioning from Division II to Division I (FCS). This list also includes teams that will be playing their first season during 2015. Conference alignments reflect those for the 2015 season.


*Ties count as one-half win and one-half loss.

  1. East Tennessee State dropped football after the 2003 season, and will reinstate their team in 2015.
