N.E.J. Stevenson Ltd is a furniture-maker in Rugby, Warwickshire.

History

The company was founded in 1984 by Neil Stevenson, who has remained as the Managing Director. Stevenson became quite successful in the art of cabinet and furniture making.

He received his royal warrant of appointment from the Queen in February 2003, following many commissions dating back to 1992. Stevenson was highly involved in the re-furbishment after the 1992 Windsor Castle fire, recreating a number of destroyed furniture such as the state dining room sideboard, which was 19 feet long and made out of rear rosewood and oak and gilded, originally designed by Augustus Pugin (1812-1852). It had to be replicated by only using some photographs and some descriptions.
