Jourdan Bobbish and Jacob Kudla were two American teenagers tortured and murdered in Detroit in 2012 after attempting to purchase drugs. They were killed by Frederick Young and Felando Hunter who were sentenced to life in prison without parole in 2015.

The case became emblematic of the ease with which the bodies of murder victims could be dumped and go unnoticed in a decaying city.

The case drew attention due to the fact that an area-wide search had been mounted for the missing teenagers, and, then, due to unusually brutal nature of the murders that was revealed after the bodies were discovered and during the lead up to the trial. The bodies were found in a vacant lot by a waste picker.

The case drew attention again when during sentencing procedures, Young chose to make a statement, attempting to excuse this crime by making an outrageous statement to the court. "I'd like to say sorry to the family of Aiyana Jones, Michael Brown, Eric Garner and I want to apologize for them for not being able to get justice for their loved ones who were murdered in cold blood and in respect for the peaceful protest I want to say hands up, don't shoot, black lives matter," he said.
