Murashinsky District

Murashinsky District (Russian: Мурашинский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,430 square kilometers (1,320 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Murashi. Population: 12,905 (2010 Census); 15,951 (2002 Census); 20,518 (1989 Census). The population of Murashi accounts for 52.3% of the district's total population.
