The A52 is a tangential Motorway of the A5 (Ionia Odos). The A52 is an important Motorway for the Touristic-Region of the Golf of Amvrakia. The construction will be ready until 2012. The Motorway connect the Airport of Aktio the Island of Lefkada and the A5 (Ionia Odos). The construction started In July 2009. It is 48,6 km long, connect the A5 (Ionia Odos) with the undersea-tunnel of Aktio and the island of Lefkada.It will have 4 lanes (2+2) with hard shoulder and median.
