Motorino is a brand of electric bicycle and electric scooter based in Vancouver, BC. The name comes from the Italian word motorino (literally meaning: small engine), which colloquially describes gasoline mopeds and scooters. The Motorino brand is designed by Greenwit Technologies Inc. They have 500 W for Canada and 750 W for USA brushless CPU controlled motors, and regenerative brakes.

North America licensing

In Canada and the USA the Motor Vehicle Act qualifies two to three wheel vehicles that go no faster than 32 km/h, have a motor of maximum 500 W for Canada or 750 W for USA and are equipped with pedals as bicycles. No driver’s license or insurance is required. However, in some North America areas (Canada and USA alike) the operator must be at least 16 years of age. A regular driver’s license is required for all Motorino brand vehicles over 500 W for Canada and over 750 W for USA.
