Morar, Gwalior district

Morar is a Subcity in Gwalior city's metropolitan area in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It lies 6 km east of Gwalior Junction Railway station and just 2 km from Birlanagar Railway station. Morar is the biggest metropolitan area in Gwalior city other than Lashkar Subcity and Gwalior subcity.

Demographics

As of 2011 India census, Morar had a population of 553,673. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Morar has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 87%, and female literacy is 69%. In Morar's 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Morar has a number of entertainment centres like Baaz Cinema, Shri Talkies, Sun city amusement and water park etc.
