Montgomery High School is in the district of Montgomery Independent School District. Montgomery ISD in Montgomery, Texas, United States. In the years of 2013, 2014, and 2015, Montgomery High School was named one of Newsweek's Best schools in America. Montgomery High School offers Dual Credit and Advanced Placement courses for students.

Contents

History

The original regional grade school, then called Area Private School, opened in 1850 on what is now the Church Of Christ In Montgomery. After the creation of Montgomery ISD, the first high school opened in 1931 on what is now Montgomery Middle School. The final building opened in 1967 west of town on Highway 105, where the school still currently stands. A huge increase in local population caused the school to be expanded in 1998 and again in 2005, where the original 1967 building remains as the freshman campus.
