Monochroa sperata is a moth of the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Huemer and Karsholt in 2010. It is found in the south-western Alps of France and Italy.

Etymology

The species name is derived from Latin sperata (meaning hoped for), since the excursions to the type-locality were planned with the hope of finding new endemic species.
