Mohammad Akbar Hossain is a two star rank Bangladesh Army officer. He is a Major General and present GOC of 9 Infantry Division and commander of Savar area. He previously served as Director General of Directorate General of Forces Intelligence. He was an artillery officer who was commissioned in the 13 batch of Bangladesh Military Academy. Under him a new monogram of DGFI was designed.
