Mizoram Institute of Medical Education and Research

Mizoram Institute of Medical Education & Research is the first medical college in Mizoram, India. It was constructed in 2014-2015 following a joint initiative between the Central Government and the State Government in 2013-2014. It is scheduled to start education courses in August 2015 with at least 50 students. Mizoram Medical College has still not been started even by the year 2017 because of Disapproval by Medical Council of India. Even though Infrastructure is adequate, the Human resource and number of patients in OPD was found to be inadquate.
