Since September 2012, the Miss Germany Cooperation (MGC) has chosen the Miss 50 plus Germany.

In the Kurhaus in Bad Neuenahr, Germany, the jury chose 56-year-old flight attendant Martina Selke from Hessen to be the new Miss Germany 50 plus 2016. Selke won against 19 competitors. Iris Wagler from Sachsen is the runner-up, and Angelika Meisel from Bayern came in third place.
