Biography
Perišić was born in the city of Arandjelovac, 60 km south of Belgrade. He went to school for tourism, and then studied Italian literature. He published his first book, named Kafa (Coffee) in 2013. Couple of months before, his short story Put u ružama (Path In Roses), was published in Russian and Ukrainian literature magazines, translated as Путь в розах. Later that year his story Put Svetog Alimpija Stolpnika (The Path of Saint Alypius the Stylite) entered the selection of The Most Beautiful Stories About Christianity - the book yet to be published, on the occasion of 1700 years of the Edict of Milan. He is working on his next novel, of a working title Off With the Masks, which was published in the third quarter of 2015. His works are magically-realistic stories about family, coming of age, coming out, customs and Slavic myths in both - urban and rural Serbian society.
