Mike Darr (pitcher) Padres Special Remembering Padres outfielder Mike Darr East

Michael Edward Darr (born March 23, 1956) is a former starting pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Toronto Blue Jays in its inaugural 1977 season.

Born in Pomona, California, Darr was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 1974 Major League Baseball Draft, but never played for them. He then was selected by Toronto in the 1976 expansion draft.

Darr appeared in just one game for the Blue Jays, before being sent down to play in their minor league system and did not appear again in a major league game.

Besides, he is the father of Mike Darr, a San Diego Padres outfielder who died in a car accident in 2002.
