Microsoft online services refers to hosted technology solutions for both consumers and businesses. These services were previously branded under the Windows Live umbrella. Among the services offered are webmail, storage, contacts and calendar. They are accessed with a Microsoft account.

The Microsoft Services team provides a wide range of consulting and support services for consumers, partners and businesses.

Interface

All web services feature a Metro user interface. The UI's header contains a pull-down element which allows users to switch to Outlook.com, People, Calendar, and SkyDrive. The header's color also changes depending on the web service the user is using (with the exception of Outlook.com). It allows users to customize the header's color according to their preference. The interface also has an in-built Messaging sidebar that allows users to interact with their contacts on Messenger, Facebook and Skype using instant messages, audio calls and video calls.
